Over the next few weeks, travel is in the stars... Japan, Korea, Canada. The timezone changes can wreak havoc on our body. Jet Lag is defined by the Urban Dictionary as the effects of having to quickly become accustomed to routine in another time zone and also of altitude changes. Additionally, it causes fatigue. A few days before you go on the plane, take a few of these steps to help manage your jet leg symptoms. Stay hydrated by drinking lots of water with lemon or citrus fruit to help maintain electrolyte balance. Make sure you are resting well, and try not to stress. a good rest and try not to stress. Sometimes that is easier said then done, I know!
I always carry Lavender, Sweet Orange, Peppermint, Lemongrass and Tea Tree in my essential oil kit, I use them before, during, and after my flight.
Relaxing and calming: Lavender, Roman Chamomile, sweet Marjoram, Clary Sage and Sweet Orange.
Rejuvenate and energy boost: Rosemary, Bergamot, Grapefruit, Peppermint, Lemon and Eucalyptus.
Rebalance hormones (which is helpful when reseting the biological clock): Lemongrass and Lavender
Tea tree is an anti-bacterial, and a must have in every first aid kit.
Mist yourself while you are traveling by adding 15 drops of your essential oil of choice or one of the blends detailed below with 125ml distilled water into a spray bottle (shake well before spraying). Be mindful that you can only carry 3oz of liquid through the security checkpoint, so you will likely need to fill your water after passing through the checkpoint.

Upon arrival, take a soothing shower or bath to readjust your rhythms. To help during the day, place a drop or two on a tissue that you can inhale during the day for a quick pick me up. I also like to carry an essential oil roller with me... Always does the trick.
I wish you peaceful travels!
